CCIF is an innovative fund that strengthens Canadian communities by filling a financing gap for co-operatives.
CCIF can partner with financial institutions or provide standalone financing to co-operatives in a wide variety of sectors.

- CCIF invests in the co-operative sector in the form of loans, equity and quasi equity investments. We primarily focus on supporting the growth of existing co-ops. We also support the conversion of traditional businesses into co-ops and start-up financing for new co-ops.
- We invest in co-operatives that are committed to making a difference in their communities.
- Our loans are flexible and tailored to your specific co-operative development stage.
- We draw on extensive experience to structure financing opportunities that are customized to our borrowers’ needs.

CCIF invests in co-operative enterprise in many ways:
- Loans: bridge loans, cash flow, equipment, mortgages, operating capital
- Equity: share capital
- Quasi Equity: deferred principle, graduated interest
- Loans to support the share-purchase acquisition for the transfer of enterprises into co-operative ownership
CCIF does not invest in financial institutions or credit unions.

We lend to and invest in co-operatives that are making a difference in their communities across Canada.
Our borrowers and investees include co-operatives in a wide range of sectors such as housing, renewable energy, agriculture, food and beverage and telecommunications.
